Google User Data & Limited Use Compliance
This section describes how AddressGenie handles data obtained from Google APIs, including data accessed through Google Sign-In and the Heads Up™ moving announcement feature. AddressGenie's use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
What Google Data We Access
When you choose to connect your Google account to AddressGenie, we may request access to the following data via Google OAuth:
- Basic profile information (
openid,userinfo.email,userinfo.profile): your name, email address, and Google profile information — used to create or sign in to your AddressGenie account. - Read-only access to your Google Contacts (
contacts.readonly): only when you explicitly use the Heads Up™ feature to import contacts so you can select recipients for your moving announcement e-cards.
We request the minimum scope necessary. We use the read-only contacts scope rather than any read/write or extended scope, and we do not request any other Google data.
How We Use Google Data
Google user data is used only to provide and improve user-facing features of AddressGenie that are visible to and requested by you, the user. Specifically:
- Profile data is used to authenticate you and personalize your AddressGenie experience.
- Google contact data is used solely to display your contacts in the Heads Up™ recipient picker so you can select which contacts should receive your moving announcement e-card. The selected contacts' names and email addresses are used to send the announcements you have authorized.
How We Store Google Data
- Google contact data is fetched on demand when you open the Heads Up™ contact picker. Imported contacts are persisted only for your own use within your AddressGenie account, scoped to your user ID.
- Recipient records (the contacts you actually selected and sent announcements to) are retained only as needed to support delivery tracking, anti-spam, and your own visibility into past sends.
- You may delete your Google-imported contact data at any time by contacting us at concierge@addressgenie.co or by deleting your AddressGenie account.
What We Will Not Do With Google Data
Consistent with Google's Limited Use Requirements, AddressGenie does not:
- Sell, rent, lease, transfer, or share Google user data with any third party, including any of our affiliated or non-affiliated marketing partners. The data-sharing and monetization practices described elsewhere in this Privacy Policy do not apply to data obtained from Google APIs.
- Use Google user data to serve advertising of any kind, including retargeting, personalized, or interest-based advertising.
- Transfer Google user data to data brokers, information resellers, or any party that would use it for advertising or monetization.
- Use Google user data to train, fine-tune, or improve generalized AI or machine learning models.
- Allow humans to read Google user data, except (i) with your explicit consent, (ii) for security investigations or to comply with applicable law, (iii) where the data has been aggregated and anonymized for internal operations, or (iv) where strictly necessary for user-requested customer support.
Sharing Google Data With Third Parties
We share Google user data only with the limited service providers strictly necessary to deliver the user-facing functionality you have requested — for example, our transactional email delivery provider, which transmits the moving announcements you have asked us to send. These providers are contractually bound to handle the data in accordance with this Privacy Policy and Google's Limited Use requirements, and are not permitted to use Google user data for any other purpose.
Revoking Access
You may revoke AddressGenie's access to your Google account at any time by visiting https://myaccount.google.com/permissions and removing AddressGenie. Revoking access will not delete data already imported; to delete imported data, contact us as described above.
Who We Share Your Personal Information With
We may share your personal information with the following categories of recipients:
- Service Providers: Third-party companies that help us operate our business, such as payment processors, email delivery services, hosting providers, and customer support tools
- Marketing Partners: Our affiliated and non-affiliated third-party marketing partners for their own marketing, promotional, and lead generation purposes (see details below)
- Authentication Providers: Third-party sign-in services (Google, Microsoft, Apple, Facebook) when you choose to use these services
- Legal Authorities: Government agencies, courts, or other parties when required by law or to protect our rights
Important: Our business model is, in part, based on providing third-party businesses with access to consumer information. By using our Services and providing us with your personal information, you acknowledge and agree that we sell, rent, or lease your personal information, including your email address and phone number, to our affiliated and non-affiliated third-party marketing partners for their own marketing, promotional, and lead generation purposes.
Google User Data is Excluded from this Practice
The data-sharing and monetization practices described in this section do not apply to any data obtained from Google APIs (including Google Sign-In profile data and Google Contacts data imported through the Heads Up™ feature). Google user data is handled exclusively under the Google User Data & Limited Use Compliance section above and is never sold, rented, leased, transferred, or shared with marketing partners.
These partners may use this information to contact you with offers and promotions via email, telephone calls, and text messages. We require all of our partners to adhere to all applicable laws and regulations, including the TCPA and the CAN-SPAM Act.
A current and updated list of our marketing partners can be found here: https://www.alittlehelpheremedia.com/partners. We may update this list periodically, and your continued use of our services constitutes your agreement to be contacted by these partners.

We may send you SMS (text) messages to the mobile phone number you provide to us. These messages fall into two categories:
1. Transactional/Security Messages
We send transactional SMS messages for the following purposes:
- Account verification and security codes (one-time passwords)
- Phone number verification when you update your account settings

2. Marketing Messages
With your consent, we may send marketing and promotional SMS messages about our services, special offers, and updates. You can opt out of marketing messages at any time by replying STOP to any message.
SMS Consent and Data Sharing
Important Notice Regarding SMS Consent:
Your consent to receive SMS/text messages from AddressGenie is not shared with any third parties or affiliates for their marketing purposes. Communication and Marketing Consent
By voluntarily providing your personal information, including your email address and/or phone number, you are providing your explicit written consent to receive marketing and promotional communications from us. These communications may be sent via email, telephone calls, and text messages. You understand that these communications may be generated using an automatic telephone dialing system (ATDS), an artificial or prerecorded voice, and that message and data rates may apply. Your consent to receive these communications is not a condition of purchasing any goods or services.
